Some brief overview of book

In DAY OF RECKONING HOW HUBRIS, IDEOLOGY, AND GREED ARE TEARING AMERICA APART, Buchanan lays out how the United States is being secretly merged with Mexico and embedded in a Global Economy by a disloyal Davos Elite, that threatens the permanent loss of American independence and sovereignty. The great enemy the audiobook will lay out is "ideology," a false god that has become a de-Christianized America's substitute for true faith. Ideology, says Buchanan, is at root fanaticism.

While free enterprise is good, the worship of "free trade" that is de-industrializing America, killing the middle class, and imperiling U. S. economic independence, is madness. While American must stand for freedom, liberty and self-determination, the use of U.

S. troops to police the planet or to serve as advance guard of some "world democratic revolution" is, as Iraq shows, imperial folly that will bring down the republic.
